Homemade sugar scrub, good for use as a hand scrub, foot scrub, dry lip scrub, or as an exfoliating body scrub!
This is only my second time making a homemade scrub.
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla & 1 tsp cinnamon
** Or use a few drops of your favorite essential oil. I’m awaiting my buy 1 get 1 free essential oil lavender I just ordered… ( b1g1 free offer ended** 7-27-20 @ 9:59PM CST.

Combine the sugar, honey, and coconut oil, and stir it well. Then add in vanilla and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Or add some essential oil drops. Stir some more. If you add an essential oil, and you want to use it for your lips, make sure it’s not something that you won’t dislike having the taste of it on your lips.
I recommend doing this over your bathroom sink. Once you get the mixture together, take about a tablespoon or two and start rubbing it all over your hands, cuticles, wrists, Etc. This can also be used for foot scrub, a lip scrub, or even a body scrub.
This could even be given as a homemade gift if that’s something that you’re into doing. I got that cute little glass jar and the plastic pink container both at the Dollar Tree for $1 each. If you wanted to give it as a gift, you could wrap some ribbon around it and put it in a gift bag. Or, if you’re not the homemade gift giving type – try one of N Y R’s small gift sets!
*** I have a 5-year-old’s skill level for doing nails. Even with this ColorStreet stick on nail color I got, I still don’t have the best fine motor coordination when it comes to that stuff.

Do you use coconut oil? I love it! After buying a large Costco sized coconut oil, I found myself using it for literally everything including baking and frying.
There are many health benefits to coconut oil as well.
